Blood Donation

Blood Donation...Give the Gift of Life

Blood supplies are often in constant shortage, yet the demand for blood continues to increase. Your lifesaving donation helps to ensure that adequate blood supplies will be there for those who need it, when they need it.

We have participated in community blood replacement programs for more than 40 years. Since 1979, more than 60,000 units of blood have been donated at hospital-sponsored blood drives. With your help, our blood drives have enabled us to replace more than 80% of the blood used by our patients.

The outstanding response from concerned individuals who want to give the gift of life to people in our community has helped us through many critical blood shortages that would otherwise have required area hospitals to cancel medical procedures.  

San Antonio Regional Hospital collaborates with the American Red Cross, a regional center for blood donation, to offer monthly blood drives that alternate between the hospital campus and Rancho San Antonio Medical Plaza in Rancho Cucamonga. Blood drives are also held at Eastvale San Antonio Medical Plaza and Sierra San Antonio Medical Plaza.
