Career Exploration Programs at San Antonio Regional Hospital


To address the shortage of healthcare workers in San Bernardino County, San Antonio Regional Hospital provides several opportunities for students seeking exposure in healthcare and/or public health.

We offer the following programs:

Clinical Shadowing Program (Juniors in High School)

  • Provides Juniors in high school early career exploration into healthcare professions.
  • Students shadow various departments in a hospital including: Surgery, Cardiology, Maternity, Emergency and more!
  • Offers students professional development trainings and networking opportunities.

Non-Clinical Internship Program (Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral Students)

  • Provides university-level students the opportunity to complete a practicum/field experience with our team.
  • Non-Clinical Interns gain valuable experience and exposure to SARHs organizational structure and services, while applying knowledge from their academic program.
  • Students pursuing degrees in public health, healthcare administration, social sciences, leadership and other related fields are encouraged to apply.
