San Antonio Regional Hospital has been recognized with the 2024 Women's Choice Award^® for Cancer Care. These evidence-based designations are the only awards that identify the country's best healthcare institutions based on robust criteria that consider both clinical excellence and female patient satisfaction.

This recognition places San Antonio in the top 6% of 4,728 U.S. hospitals offering cancer care services. A hospital must be designated by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer to be considered for the award. The Women's Choice Award measures hospitals on having specific cancer-related services offered onsite, as well as infection rates and patient recommendation ratings. Accreditation required or the award ensures that a hospital of facility offers a full range of diagnostic and treatment services, or provides integrated cancer care and comprehensive services.
