Become a Patient Advocate

When you were a patient or visitor in our hospital, did you think there were things we could have done better?  Do you have ideas about how to make sure other patients and families get the best care possible?  If so, we would encourage you to become one of our patient and family advisors.

How does a patient and family advisor help?

A patient and family advisor partners with the San Antonio care team to:

  • Improve the quality of care for all patients and their family members.
  • Give feedback to the hospital based on his or her own experiences as a patient or family member.
  • Help us plan changes to improve how we take care of patients

As an advisor, you will serve on our Patient and Family Advisory Council to provide a voice that represents all patients and families of those who receive care at San Antonio.

You do not need any special qualifications, we will provide you with any training you may need. You can be an advisor if you or a family member received care at San Antonio Regional Hospital within the last 3 years.  You must be able to commit the time to attend a monthly meeting and other hospital related meetings as necessary.
