San Antonio Regional Hospital's Level II, Non-Trauma Emergency Department (ED) is where many patients first encounter excellence in care. Nearly three-quarters of all hospital admissions come through the ED – and it's the strong partnerships we
have with other hospital departments that result in seamless care and the ability to respond quickly to patient needs.

evaluating the situation and streamlining processes to reduce patient wait times – evidence of our strong commitment to our patients.

San Antonio Regional Hospital's spirit of interdepartmental collaboration has led to our designation as a STEMI (ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Receiving Center, one of only two in San Bernardino County. The designation was the direct
result of the ED and Cath Lab working together diligently to reduce door-to-balloon times for STEMI patients.

Our team has already been recognized with three consecutive Emergency Medicine Excellence Awards®, which are only given to the top 5% of hospitals providing emergency care. Our $158 million tower expansion in 2017 has allowed us to expand our emergency services. The 52-bed ED is supported by its own radiology satellite, featuring a CT Scanner and Ultrasound.
