You're a vital part of patient care.

Bring your talents to a hospital that views pharmacy as far more than a dispensary. San Antonio Regional Hospital sees your knowledge and expertise as essential assets in our efforts to treat patients and provide them with the best care available. We employ 20 Pharmacists and more than 22 other pharmaceutical professionals to serve our hospital's main campus in Upland, Rancho San Antonio Medical Plaza in Rancho Cucamonga, and Sierra San Antonio Medical Plaza in Fontana.

As a vital partner in patient care, our pharmacists participate in multi-disciplinary rounds where their knowledge and expertise is critical to treating individual patients. Moreover, to minimize antimicrobial resistance in our community, San Antonio has implemented an Antimicrobial Stewardship program – Clinical pharmacists are key players in promoting the appropriate utilization of antimicrobial agents throughout the hospital.

On the leading edge of therapeutic advancements.

Beyond our focus on ensuring that pharmacists are part of the patient care team, we make sure that they have the latest tools and resources needed to deliver efficient and effective pharmacy services:

  • CERNER is our core clinical system, which allows various interdisciplinary teams to view and share information in real time.
  • Our point-of-care order automation systems assist with pharmaceutical therapy while enhancing drug safety.
  • San Antonio's automated dispensing device, Omnicell, reduces the likelihood of administering the wrong medications.
  • Sigma Spectrum smart pumps administer medications given by continuous intravenous infusion.

San Antonio Regional Hospital's Pharmacy Department is committed to providing safe, evidence-based drug therapies that improve patient outcomes. As patient acuity continues to increase and new drugs are rapidly brought to market, our pharmacy continues to distinguish itself by remaining on the leading edge of therapeutic advancements.
